LAURENCREST YOUTH SERVICES IS AT IT AGAIN!

Laurencrest’s Comfort Zone Program is hosting our Second Annual “Grilled Cheese Sandwich Contest” on November 23rd, between 3pm-6pm at St Mathew’s High School.

Participants will have a chance to create a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with the assistance of Chef Travis Dunning from Schnitzels European Flavours.  Honorary judges Constable Andrew Arbic, St. Matthew’s Vice Principal Mr. Walter MacDonald, and BBQ Pro, Mathieu Drouin will be grading the final product.

Not only are we expecting a “cheesy” good time but participants will have a chance to win a 20$ gift card from Menchie’s while also earning community service school based hours. We are thrilled that the winning sandwich will be featured as a daily special at Schnitzels European Flavours!  Chef Travis Dunning is excited about having the winning contestant join him in his kitchen for an afternoon of culinary delight as the sandwich is unveiled for the first time.

If you are between the ages of 12 – 17 years and wish to participate in the Grilled Cheese Sandwich contest call Laurencrest Youth Services at 613-933-6362 and ask for Melanie.  Remember cooking skills are not required…having fun is!!
